Junior Scrum Master
Location: Dallas, TX or Tampa, FL (*Hybrid, onsite 3 days/week)
Length: 6+ month contract to hire
Pay rate: 40/hr. on W2 basis
Role Overview
The Junior Scrum Master applies a broad technical knowledge of the Agile methodology to manage the scrum process with geographically dispersed teams to deliver exceptional standards in product quality and timely, predictable delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Embrace change and use it to drive continuous learning and process improvements within the squads.
- Coach the squad to provide input for squad-level decision-making to achieve a common goal.
- Identify and work to resolve mindset impediments as they arise.
- Provide role-based (PO, QA, Dev, etc.) coaching and proactively facilitate coaching sessions with the squad.
- Ensure accurate and transparent communications to stakeholders with concise metrics and updates on progress, risks, and impediments.
- Support the Product Owner on release planning and coordinate the movement of code between environments.
- Participate in Scrum of Scrums meetings to ensure alignment on priorities, dependencies, and timelines.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years' experience in Agile Development, with Scrum Master (or similar) experience.
- Previous software development lifecycle experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- AI experience is highly desirable with Kiro, Copilot, or any other AI tools.
- Scrum Master certification is a plus.
