Full Time Upper Elementary Classroom Teacher

FCA teachers will inspire and prepare all students for a future success through:

• The Core Knowledge Sequence for stories, poetry, and novels as well as using CKLA for literacy instruction.
• The creation and use of thematic Core Knowledge units for science and social studies
• Collaboration between general classroom teachers and the partner teachers of Music, Art, PE, and Innovation
• Character education integrated into lesson plans
• Creating a learning experience that supports each child's learning needs
• Enforcement of a dress code
• Regular assessment of progress toward academic standards
• Close collaboration with parents and families

FCA is looking for professionals with the following qualifications/expectations:

• The desire to support the school community and values
• The understanding that common plan time will be scheduled to allow for structured grade level meetings
• The expectation that there will be after school meetings on a weekly basis
• The commitment to improving curriculum and instruction through collaboration, best practices, and regular assessment.
• The desire to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A B.A./B.S. degree in subject area intended to teach
• A Colorado license in subject area or grade level intended to teach (preferred)
